Our Haas DC-1 provides fourth-axis machining, probing, tool measurement and quick-change workholding for suitable production parts. Supporting CNC and manual equipment helps us make fixtures, handle secondary operations and choose a practical process for the work.
We welcome prototypes and short runs that can develop into recurring production. As quantities grow, dedicated workholding and process improvements can reduce setup time and handling. Automation is considered when the volume supports the investment.
Materials matched to the application
Aluminum and nonferrous machining are particular strengths. We routinely work with 6061, 7075 and MIC-6/ATP tooling plate, alongside engineering plastics and other suitable materials.
Our material capability also includes Delrin, UHMW, brass, copper, steel and stainless steel. Material selection is part of the manufacturing discussion, including how the component is used and what it needs to withstand.
Engineering, DFM and reverse engineering
We can help review the part, understand its role in an assembly and identify manufacturing decisions that affect cost. That may involve tolerance choices, feature placement, setup strategy, fixturing or a different process.
Engineering and reverse-engineering work are considered in the context of the manufacturing project. The goal is a practical path to making the parts.
Supporting machining and fabrication
CNC turning is a secondary capability, supported by the Haas Pocket Lathe and manual turning on the Nardini Mascote 1440. Manual turning supports suitable features and supporting operations when direct setup is the practical choice.
Surface grinding, controlled tapping, press-brake forming and CO2 laser work provide additional process options for appropriate parts and materials. The drawing and application determine which operations belong in the job.
Additive manufacturing that supports the work
3D printing provides another route for suitable prototypes, fixtures, shop tooling and manufacturing aids. It supports the production process rather than defining the whole business.

Finishing and outside processes
In-house finishing includes as-machined work, deburring, vapor honing and vibratory tumbling. We can coordinate suitable coatings, heat treatment and additional outside processes through local vendor relationships.
Inspection and tolerances
Inspection starts with the drawing and the features that matter to fit and function. Our equipment includes a Brown & Sharpe Gage 2000 CMM, along with shop measuring equipment and Haas probing for in-process measurement.
Our preferred normal tolerance is around ±0.005 inch, with ±0.001 inch when required. The material, geometry and agreed inspection requirements are reviewed for the actual job.
