Experience beyond the machine shop

We’re small enough to stay close to the work and interested in growing with customers who have recurring production needs.

Our owner’s background includes approximately four years as a machine designer at Industrial Equipment Systems in Wilmington, working with equipment and robotic cells for the tube and pipe industry.

Design-engineering work at SAS Automation / Piab involved application-specific robotic tooling, demolding and material handling. That background also includes exposure to automotive, industrial and other manufacturing environments.

It gives us a useful perspective on what happens after a machined part leaves the shop: how it fits into an assembly, how it is used and what makes it unnecessarily difficult to manufacture.

An efficiency mindset

Our owner’s Six Sigma Green Belt supports a simple approach: find waste, eliminate it and keep improving the process.

That thinking applies to tooling, setups, workholding, machine use and overhead. Even the shop’s own solar system, which supplies part of its power, contributes to the broader effort to control operating costs.

Straightforward working relationships

We do what we said we’re going to do. If a requirement needs discussion, we’ll discuss it. If we see a practical improvement, we’ll bring it to the table.

The goal is to make the parts right and deliver what we promised.

Local when you need us. National when you don’t.

For regional manufacturers, we can review applications in person and work toward a better understanding of the equipment or assembly. We also welcome customers throughout the United States with production work that can be shipped.
